I used to be a painfully shy guy.
I wasn’t rich, and I wasn’t good-looking.
I frequently got to see my better looking friends & more confident friends hook up with hotties… the same hotties I wanted.
Once in a while, I would meet a girl as desperate as I was — usually through friends — and I would SETTLE FOR HER (& vice versa) for a while.
My first real girlfriend was in college: about 200 pounds, with low self-esteem. Nice, sure — but not exactly the woman that guys were fighting over.
Of course, when you settle for another person (& they settle for you) it’s never going to last… somebody that somehow looks better is going to come along.
I remember being miserable many times during those years.
I thought something must be wrong with me.
When I did get up the courage to approach a woman, it almost always ended badly: in rejection — sometimes bluntly, sometimes subtly (”let’s just be friends”)… always painful. Sometimes other guys who saw me try to talk to a girl would make fun of me. I remember this beautiful girl in high school with green eyes. She even seemed attracted when I started a conversation with her. But then I heard some “jock type” guys laugh and say “dude, she’s out of your league.”
That shut me down. For a shy guy like me, that took the wind out of my sales.
I wish I had been different — I wish I had taken it as a challenge to overcome.
But I didn’t.

The more that began to happen, the more confidence I gained.
It was a powerful upward spiral, because the more confidence I gained, the more that women would approach me… in turn, giving me MORE confidence.
I have since got to connect with many beautiful women, many of whom also had great, fun personalities.
